About Ywam Naga
YWAM Naga is committed in reaching and influencing the community and the nations with the Word of God. Expressing it through evangelism, discipleship and mercy ministries.
Together with our eleven staff and their families we hope to sew seeds to those who are lost and strengthen and train those who are already believers. Get to know our staff here We have many programs and Ministries here at YWAM Naga. Consisting Kids ministries, street evangelism, teens ministries, DTS, camps, and even hosting other teams that come into Naga. |
Our vision for the future is to have a High Tech Center that offers training, encouragement, and counseling. Also to have a Mobile Ministry, reaching out to islands and coastal areas with evangelic programs such as, community development, youth training and performing arts.
Another vision YWAM Naga has for the future is to have a strong working YWAM facility that can be called our own. To have a training school building, housing, and a place or resource to help generate income for our ministries.
Already we see God working to fulfill some of these visions, so we pray and wait patiently for the right timing and right opportunities. Thank God for his provision and for his will to be done!

YWAM Naga History YWAM Naga center was established in November of 1996 as an outreach location for the Kona Hawaii schools like
CDTS, DTS, IBC, SBS, and school of worship. These teams are lead by Rodelio Catuday and Rick and Judy Sorums. Teams from Hawaii and Canada frequently visit this region for their outreaches working extensively in partnering with the locals. The first 2 years were merely focused on serving the local churches, assisting them in evangelism and mercy ministry, thus saturating the five provinces of the Bicol region. The YWAM leadership has seen the tremendous impact of the team in the community visited. YWAM Naga Center was mostly ran by volunteers, with Rodelio Catuday as the only Filipino staff with an extension base in Albay. The leadership saw the potential of the place as permanent YWAM center, serving the locals while hosting teams from abroad. Naga City is one of the most thriving cities in the Bicol region and is located in the southern part of Luzon, the largest island in the Philippines. This city is becoming the center of commerce, trade, polities, religion and education of the region.

In 1997-98 the base sent their four volunteers to take a Discipleship Training School in Baguio City. So by mid 1998, YWAM Naga was officially recognized as YWAM center with four staff. Rodelio Catuday, Enelita Feliciano, Chato Pacon and Adel Gabion. During this time the leadership position was passed on to Adel Gabion as the base director.
Through 1999-2003 the ministry begun to soar on new heights. there was a multiplication of staff and the ministry that was being done. Through God’s grace and help, new relationships were established, there was a deeper commitment for the love of God, new opportunities came up and doors were opened for new ministries. These are some of the things God was putting in place. It was a time that allowed the staff to grow, trust, and see that God has great plans for YWAM Naga.
2004-2009 was a new season for the Naga base from what was four staff, to then had nine fulltime staff. They each held different ministry responsibility inside and outside the base.
It was 2005 when God presented to us, yet again, another ministry opportunity for the base and this time through establishing a discipleship training center (DTS).
In 2006, Naga launched its first DTS with partnership of Holoholo Island DTS. Naga staff was among its local DTS staff. The year was fruitful and successful with the school, having quite the number of students who applied.
