Greetings from YWAM Naga!
God has been answering our prayers. We are growing! Not just spiritually but in our staff numbers, and we are so thankful for that. We have three new staff this year and soon to be four starting in October. Having the extra hands around is allowing us to not only accomplish more in our ministries already going on, but we are able to expand and start new ministries. So take a look at what we have been up to the last couple of months and see what God has done! |
Ministries
Saturday Kid's WorshipThe children are growing in their knowledge and relationship with God. This past couple of months we have been studying about God's nature and character. The areas we are seeing the children grow in more is discipline, respect, and more love for worship. For many months we had been praying for a church so these children and parents could attend. God in his perfect timing brought someone to pioneer a church in the area, not just near to us but they have been using one of our YWAM buildings for Sunday services! Not only that but the youth workers from the church have been taking the time to help with the Saturday Kids Worship. God is good. |
Vitamins Nutritions ProgramWe are expanding in location with giving out Vitamin Nutrition drinks! Praise God! It is no longer just in Azucena, but also in Pamukid Presbyterian Church (Led by Adel and Amy Gabion) and also at YWAM Albay. Over all that means we are feeding 234 malnourished children and 11 adults! 6 days out of the week, rain or shine we go to Azucena to hand out the milk vitamin drink, and the kids are always eagerly waiting. They are growing strong and healthy each and everyday. |
Mother's MinistryEvery Saturday we are still doing bible studies for the mothers. The attendance had decreased because some are busy doing their daily responsibilities but we still get 5 to 6 mothers. Chato Pacon started visiting them at their houses to have closer relationship with them and to know a better idea of how we can pray for each of them. |
Teen MinistryGF (Girls Fellowship) Every other Saturday afternoon girls from the community get together to have girls fellowship. This past month the topic was "Beauty”. What does that mean coming from the world and then comparing it to what it is through God's eyes. We also had a fun activity day with games, painting nails, snacks, and haircuts. It has been a lot of fun. |
EvangelismLast January YWAM Naga, two DTS (one from Hawaii and and the other Australia) teamed up together with a local church to do evangelism work throughout the city. Doing prayer walks interceding to bring revival, and evangelism outreaches at the Plaza and other near by places. As a base we continued to do evangelism around the City. Distributing gospel tracks, seeing people house to house, doing prayer walks in specific parts of the city, and we continue to build relationship with the street kids. |

Base Opportunities
Leadership Seminar The Base hosted a team from Holoholo Ministries this last June. The team was here to put on a Leadership Training Seminar for those in the community and we were able to attend as well! What a great time it was to learn new skills to be the greatest leader we can be through God! We learned about the different types of leaders and how to use the gifts we were given. We were blessed to have had this opportunity to attend this seminar as a base. We even received official certificates for finishing the classes! |
New Staff!
Marthy FranciscoMarthy, 24 years old, finished his DTS this last June, 2015 at YWAM Boguio Training Center. He now has been a volunteer staff at Naga base for 3 months, and is praying about becoming an official staff. Marthy has also been assisting Utol with his evangelism work like visiting and connecting with some of the street kids. | Amanda ZollerAmanda, 21 years old, is from Washington State, USA. In 2014 she did her DTS through YWAM Kona, with the outreach going to Thailand and the Philippines. After she graduated the Lord spoke to her, calling her back to the Philippines to staff with the Naga Base. Aside from helping the other ministries, Her personal vision is to reach out to the teen girls in Naga City, to encourage them and share God's love. | JoelJoel, 28 years old, who finished his DTS in 2008 has now committed to being a staff. As he had been living here for almost 11 years his vision was to become a staff and continue doing Gods work as a missionary.
